John Campbell: Bass Guitar, Upright & Group Founder
Since landing in Bozeman back in 1991, John Campbell has been an integral part of the town’s vibrant music scene, with bass lines that rumble through rock, blues, jazz, and funk. John’s journey with the instrument started in middle school, eventually earning him a BA in Music with a focus on Bass Performance. As a seasoned musician, he's played in countless bands, each one a new genre-bending adventure. Offstage, John’s creative spirit is alive in his music studio, The Station, where the sound of innovation thrives. When he’s not laying down grooves, you'll find him skiing the powder, carving up mountain trails on his bike, or hitting the golf course with the same passion he brings to his music.
Lesa Miller: Multi Keyboards, Lead & Backup Vocals
A Bozeman mainstay for over 25 years, Lesa Miller brings a rich musical heritage to the stage. Hailing from Canada, her love for the piano began at the tender age of five, when she'd tinker away on an imaginary keyboard. Today, she’s far from imaginary, boasting a Diploma from Canada’s prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music. Lesa’s versatile talents on the keys, coupled with her powerful lead and backup vocals, provide a dynamic edge to every performance. When she's not commanding the stage, you'll find her conquering mountain slopes, hiking scenic trails, or cycling through breathtaking landscapes
Mike Helland: Alto Saxophonist
With over five decades of musical experience, Mike Helland, is a seasoned musician whose saxophone has resonated across countless stages. Originally from the vibrant San Francisco music scene, Mike brought his soulful, blues-infused horn to life with renowned bands like Delta Wires, The Dynotones, Niles Allstars, and Busta-Groove. Now based in Bozeman, MT, Mike lends his expert alto sax to Bluesline, where his expressive playing continues to define and elevate the band's sound. Whether driving a smoky blues riff or delivering a blistering solo, Mike’s horn is a voice that tells stories of a life steeped in music.
Dan Reynolds: Guitar, Vocals
From the green hills of Vermont to the rock venues of the West, Dan Reynolds has carved a sonic path that's as varied as it is powerful. Growing up, he was immersed in the blues, jamming alongside his father, brother, and uncles. For over a decade, he wrote and performed original music around the northeast, independently releasing three EP’s and an LP. His musical journey came full circle when he earned a B.A. in Jazz Performance in 2005. Playing with Bluesline has allowed him to reconnect with his earlies heroes—The Rolling Stones, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimi Hendrix. He’s all about the riffs, crafting licks that pay homage to his roots while pushing forward into new territory.
Chris Naro: Drums and Vocals
A versatile and dynamic drummer, Chris Naro has been keeping rhythm since his days leading the U of M “Grizzly Marching Band” drumline. With a Bachelor’s in Music with an emphasis on Percussion Performance from the University of Montana, Chris honed his skills across jazz combos, steel bands, and orchestral ensembles. From playing in Missoula's top bands to working with the Bozeman Symphony, Chris has become a staple of the Montana music scene. Currently, he’s diving into songwriting, crafting a Neo-Soul album, and performing with groups like ACE Jazz Trio.” “Raise The Roof”, “Paige and The People’sBand” and newest to the lineup, “Blues Line”.
Peter Ransone: Slide Guitar
Steeped in the rich musical heritage of the South, Peter Ransone’s love affair with the blues started early. Surrounded by the sounds of Southern soul, he picked up the guitar in high school, but it was a revelatory moment hearing the Allman Brothers that truly set his path—slide guitar became his calling. With a sound that sings and howls, Peter’s slide work channels the spirit of his blues forebears while forging his own distinct groove. When he’s not lost in the music, Peter is devoted to family life, spending time with his children, Maddie and Walker, or out in the field with his dogs, where the pace of life slows but the soul still sings.
Ken Saatjian Sax, Guitar, Pedal/lap Steel
A true musical multi-instrumentalist, Ken Saatjian has been captivating audiences since the 70s. Starting with the sax in middle school, Ken's passion for music quickly expanded, leading him to master the pedal steel, banjo, and guitar. His journey took him to LA, where he toured with the Live Wire Choir before planting roots in Bozeman in the 80s. Here, Ken's versatility shone through in bands like Little Jane and the Pistol Whips, and he shared the stage with legends such as Asleep at the Wheel, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and the Mission Mountain Wood Band. When he's not at The Jewelry Studio creating one-of-a-kind pieces, Ken continues to amaze with his dynamic musical performances.
Cole Nashan: Trumpet, Multi-Instrumentalist
Cole Nashan is a musical craftsman with a deep reverence for the rich tapestry of American music history. His curiosity knows no bounds, delving into both the roots of sound and the cutting-edge techniques of modern production. When he's not behind the mixing desk at the group’s gigs—or lending his technical expertise to music events across the state—Cole steps into the spotlight with his trumpet. His sharp, soaring horn injects power and precision into the band's repertoire, adding another layer of dynamism to their sound. Whether shaping the music from the board or from the stage, Cole’s contributions are as varied as they are essential.
